As a Junior Image Annotator in EIVA, you will work closely with experienced colleagues who will help you become familiar with the maritime world, and provide you support in gathering all the skills and knowledge needed to perform the following tasks:
- Annotating video still frames from underwater pipeline inspections
- Use in-house tools for annotating and labeling images, and other assets
- Use internal tools for managing the progress of labeling for various assets
- Report and document issues with tools and labeled assets to the mapping team lead
- Supporting the EIVA software research and development team
- Visual verification of object detection results
- Manual and semi-automatic labeling of point clouds and imagery

The ideal candidate for this role has the following skills:
- Is detail-oriented and has good communication, analytic, mathematical, and reasoning skills
- Studies or has a Bachelor’s Degree in Hydrographic and/or Topographic Survey, Geology, Geophysics, Geography or Environmental Sciences, Construction
- Can learn quickly and implement new concepts
- Has very good computer skills, including basic troubleshooting with the ability to utilize proprietary tools
- Is available for business travel when/if needed
- Has good communication skills in English
- Previous autonomous testing experience or data quality assurance work experience is a plus
